Voted the best children’s book on Black History by Mothering magazine, Dr. Angela shares a different side of Rosa Parks only known to her family, the Williamson family. This book helps continue Rosa Parks’ legacy and philosophy on activism by teaching young readers how to become change agents in their community.
" I thought I could only make a difference to students if I was lecturing in a university setting; however, I realized my greatest impact came from taking the time to share my journey creating My Life with Rosie and introducing a new side of Rosa Parks to a wide range of students."
"Our life’s many moments are designed to help us change our thinking as we fulfill our goals. In my case, I had to change my thinking and climb out of the emotional pit that I dug for myself. When I did, I created a tribute to one of America’s most beloved heroines that will forever change how she is viewed by national and international audiences."

"If there's one key thing that My Life With Rosie does and does really well, it's humanizing a civil rights icon and bringing her words and her deeds and her life into a current time in history when institutionalized and individualized racism, neither of which has ever actually gone away, has instead seemingly been given new life in ways that are jarring and frightening." Richard Propes, The Independent Critic
